Victor James Osimhen is a Nigerian centre-forward who plays for Galatasaray and the Super Eagles. His career has included a FIFA youth-tournament scoring record, a Serie A title with Napoli and a permanent move to Turkey after a successful loan season.
From Lagos to European football
Osimhen was born in Lagos on 29 December 1998. He came through Ultimate Strikers Academy and entered international view at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Nigeria won the tournament and Osimhen scored ten goals, earning the Golden Boot. That performance led to a move to German club VfL Wolfsburg.
